Professional golfer spends $1.55 million on 3BD

Medium stephen marino Stephen P. Marino bought a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 195 River Dr. in Tequesta from Keali and James Parker for $1.55 million on Dec. 11.

Mr. Parker paid $1.625 million for the property in June 2005. The 2,759-sqaure-foot house was built in 1999.

Marino is a professional golfer and a member of the PGA Tour. In 2008, he was 34th on the PGA Tour money list and had six top-10 finishes in 32 events, including a career-best second place finish in the Mayakoba Golf Classic.

He was 80th on the PGA Tour money list in 2007 and finished 42nd in 2006. He was also a member of the Nationwide Tour and won the 1999 Virginia State Amateur tournament.

He received his bachelor's in sociology from the University of Virginia.

Ms. Parker has worked as a graphic designer and freelance illustrator. Her clients have included S.T.I. Landscaping, Loxahatchee River Historical Society and Brotherhood Lacrosse.

There were 122 home sales in Tequesta in 2008, with a median sales price of $245,000.
