Commercial realtors spend $3.7M for Southwest Ranches mansion

Rene and Evelyn Vivo bought a home at 16750 Berkshire Court in Southwest Ranches for $3.775 million from Landmark Custom Ranches, Inc. on April 18, 2006.

The nearly 11,500 square foot home was a new construction.

Mr. Vivo is president the Vivo Real Estate Group, a commercial real estate firm based in Hialeah.

He is a veteran of the industry, beginning his career with Archie Schwartz Company in New Jersey.

In 1991, Mr. Vivo joined CB Richard Ellis as vice president of industrial real estate bringing him to South Florida. He later worked for Codina, before forming the Vivo Group in Nov. 2002.

Mrs. Vivo also works for the Vivo Real Estate Group, serving as office manager and sales associate.

While living on the East Coast, she worked in corporate relocation management with companies such as Burlington Industries, Philip Morris and Prudential Insurance. After a hiatus as a mom, she returned to the workforce to help Mr. Vivo open the doors of the Vivo Real Estate Group in 2002.

The home is located in the Landmark Ranch Estates section of Southwest Ranches. Properties in the area range from 8,500 to 15,000 square feet. Asking prices are upwards of $3 million.

Home sales in Southwest Ranches dropped nearly 17 percent in 2007. The median price also slipped $50,000 from $900,000 to $850,000.
