99JAMZ GM sells Ft. Lauderdale condo for $1.7M

Jerry Rushin and his wife, Lynda, sold their three-bedroom condo at 110 Hendricks Isle in Ft. Lauderdale for $1.7 million to Priscilla Franks on Sept. 26.

The Rushins paid $1.67 million for Unit B-2 in Sept. 2005.

Mr. Rushin is the general manager at WEDR-FM/99Jamz, a R&B and hip-hop radio station in the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale markets. The Ft. Lauderdale native has worked for the company since 1973, when he was hired as "Super Jerry J," a part-time announcer. He eventually went on to become the program and music director of the station before he became the station's general manager in 1980.

The Dillard High School graduate served two years in the Vietnam War.

There are 14 luxury condominiums in the five-story Terraces of the Isle development, which was built in 2002. The development is owned by the SWH Holding Corp., founded by former Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Richmond Webb and New Orleans Saint linebacker Darrin Smith.

Condo sales in Fort Lauderdale dropped two percent through Dec. 15, 2007, versus the same period in 2006. The median sales price, however, remained the same, at $325,000.
