Anfernee D. Hardaway bought a six-bedroom, 7.5-bath home at 5940 S.W. 108th St. in Pinecrest from H & H Partners LLP for $3.665 million on Sept. 17.

The 10,920-square-foot house, which was built in 2008, is in the East Pinecrest neighborhood.

Hardaway played for 14 seasons in the NBA with the Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, New York Knicks and Miami Heat. He was a four-time All-Star, a member of the All-NBA First Team in 1995 and 1996 and was named to the 1994 All-NBA Rookie team.

Hardaway went to college at Memphis State, leaving the school after his junior season to enter the NBA Draft. The third overall pick in the 1993 draft, he was sent to the Orlando Magic in a draft-day trade and immediately formed one of the league's top duos with Shaquille O'Neal. He averaged more than 20 points a game and seven-plus assists per game during both the 1994-95 and 1995-96 seasons.

O'Neal left the team in 1996-97, and Hardaway began struggling with injuries. He suffered a serious knee injury at the beginning of the 1997-98 campaign that cost him most of the season and would prevent him from ever regaining his superstar status. In 704 career games, he averaged 15.2 points, five assists and 4.5 rebounds per game.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 167 sales in Pinecrest in 2008, with a median price of $662,500.
