George N. Leader bought a four-bedroom, five-bath condo at 6000 Island Blvd. in Aventura from Lois and Robert Weinstein for $1.65 million on May 27.

Ms. Weinstein acquired the property for $1.945 million in Sept. 2005. The 4,109-square-foot Unit #2701 is part of the Bella Mare, a condominium built in 2005 in the South Aventura neighborhood.

Leader is a partner with Leader, Leader & Landau P.L. His areas of practice include business and commercial transactions, family law and personal injury. He served in the United States Navy during World War II.

He earned his bachelor’s from the University of Miami and his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law-Coral Gables.

There were 1,021 condo sales in Aventura in 2008, with a median price of $250,000.
