Lori and Eran Arbel bought a five-bedroom, three-bath home at 8056 N.W. 110th Dr. in Parkland from Wachovia Mortgage Funding Inc. for $375,000 on Feb. 1.

Wachovia Mortgage Funding foreclosed on the property in Dec. 2009. The 3,200-square-foot house was built in 2006 in the Heron Bay subdivision.

Lori Arbel is a visiting artist at Studio in a School, a non-profit organization that provides visual arts programs to New York City's youth. She is also a high school photography teacher at the School of the Future, a Brooklyn artist-run school. Earlier, she held teaching positions at Coral Glades High School and Stoneman Douglas High School.

She received her B.F.A. in photography and her B.A. in art education from the University of Florida in 2002. She earned her M.S. in art education from Florida International University and her graphic design certificate from the Parsons School of Design, both in 2005.

Eran Arbel is a human resources analyst at Broward Sheriff's office. Previously, Arbel worked as test and measurement specialist for New York City government and was an industrial psychology specialist at Spherion.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 448 home sales in Parkland during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $450,000.
