Detention management company founder lists 6BD for $10.995M

George and Donna Zoley have listed for sale a six-bedroom, 11-bath home at 828 Solar Isle Dr. in Fort Lauderdale for $10.995 million.

The Zoleys paid $8.950 million for the property in Jan. 2004. The 11,840-square-foot house was built in 2004 in the Fort Lauderdale East neighborhood. Julie E. Jones of Premier Estate Properties is the listing agent for the home.

Mr. Zoley is the chairman of the board, chief executive officer and founder of the GEO Group, a private correction and detention management company. He also serves as a director of GEO's several subsidiaries and its operation worldwide. Previously, he served as the manager, director and vice president of government services at Wackenhut.

He received his bachelor's and master's degrees in public administration from Florida Atlantic University and a doctorate degree in public administration from Nova Southeastern University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 4,249 sales in Fort Lauderdale during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $170,000.
