Robert and Elisa Rubenstein have listed for sale a six-bedroom, five-bath home at 2545 Sanctuary Dr. in Weston for $1.499 million.
The Rubensteins paid $740,092 for the property in May 2000. The 4,297-square-foot house, which was built in 2000, is in the Weston South of Glades Pkwy. Terri F. Perlini of Coldwell Banker Real Estate is the listing agent.
Ms. Rubenstein is a licensed psychologist and is currently the clinical director at Neuro Behavioral Institute in Weston. She received her training in cognitive therapy at the Albert Ellis Institute in 1991 and later joined the Institute for Bio-behavioral Therapy and Research in Great Neck, N.Y. She established the anxiety disorders program at the Miami Children's Hospital Dan Marino Center and at the Neuro Behavioral Institute.
She also founded the first pediatric OCD support group in South Florida, which is still currently active, and the first behavioral therapy association in Brazil. She is the author of "Working with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder in Children," "Forms for Helping Children With OCD" and "Blink, Blink, Clop, Clop, Why do I do things I can't stop."
She attended the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and received her Ph.D. in clinical and school psychology from Hofstra University.
There were 1,018 home sales in Weston in 2008, with a median sales price of $310,000.
