The 3,203-square-foot house, which was built in 1985, is in the neighborhood of Parkland Lakes. The property was listed on the market for as high as $549,000.

Dr. Deutscher is a physiatrist who has practiced with Westside Regional Medical Center in Plantation and University Hospital and Medical Center in Tamarac.

He earned his medical degree in 1984 from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.

Ms. Deutscher is an artist and the owner of Deutscher Designs, Inc., in Parkland.

There were 437 home sales in Parkland in 2008, with a median sales price of $550,000.
