Med school professor scores 4BD in Cooper City

Georg A. Petroianu bought a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 11675 Kerry Dr. in Cooper City from Eidan and Joanne Segev for $395,000 on Feb. 19.
Mr. Segev paid $370,000 for the property in Aug. 2008. The 2,754-square-foot house, which was built in 1987, is in the Rock Creek neighborhood.
Petroianu serves as chairman of the Department of Cellular Biology at the FIU College of Medicine. Previously, he was a faculty member at the University of Heidelberg-Mannheim and was the chairman of the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the United Arab Emirates University.
He received his Ph.D. and M.D. from the University of Heidelberg-Mannheim.
There were 320 home sales in Cooper City in 2008, with a median sales price of $282,000.
