Dr. Alan L. Kaitz and wife, Marlene, sold a four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 6322 Via Venetia N. in West Delray to Miriam Engel and Jack W. Engel for $585,000 on Dec. 4.

The Kaitzes acquired the property for $552,500 in Nov. 2002. The 3,016-square-foot house was built in 1999.

Dr. Kaitz is a retired internal medicine physician and geriatrician. He served as a chief of medicine at Chelsea Memorial Hospital and worked as an assistant clinical professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. He also practiced at Revere and the Rehabilitation Hospital in Woburn, Mass.

He attended Harvard College and completed his medical degree at Harvard Medical School.

There were 1,253 sales in West Delray in 2008, with a median price of $95,000.
