He received his B.A. (1977) and J.D. (1979) from the University of Florida.
Benk is a vice president at Peachtree Funding, a part of Peachtree Settlement Funding which specializes in purchasing lottery payments, structured settlement payments, annuity payments and life insurance policies.
Previously, he worked in the commercial real estate industry for seven years as a salesman, principal and property manager.
He received his B.S. in accounting in 1983.
There were 295 home sales in Palm Beach in 2008, with a median sales price of $1.13 million.
