E.J. Leizerman bought a five-bedroom, three-bath home at 6893 N.W. 126th Ave. in Parkland from Jose A. Verger and Valerie E. Verger for $715,000 on Dec. 15.

The Vergers paid $414,720 for the 4,018-square-foot house in March 2000.

Mr. Leizerman established E.J. Liezerman & Associates, LLC, a law firm for catastrophic truck accidents, in 1976. He is currently president of the Academy of Rail Labor Attorneys.

In the past, he has served as a chairman for the Association of Trial Lawyers of America's and as an examiner for the civil board exam.

There were 403 sales in Parkland in 2008, with a median sales price of $600,000.
