Robert K. Kessel and his wife, Elizabeth Kessel, sold a three-bedroom, four-bath home at 5 Inlet Cay Dr. in Ocean Ridge to David I. Bloom and Beth Ludwin Bloom for $912,500 on Nov. 13.

The Kessels bought the property for $1.15 million in March 2005.

The 2,277-square-foot house, which was first built in 1975, is in the Inlet Cay subdivision.

Mr. Kessel is the founder and CEO of Architectural Properties, Inc., in Altadena, Calif.

He also founded Kessel/Duff Construction Corp. in Burlington, Vt. and Kessel Construction Corp., which has developed several residential and commercial high-rises in Florida. Additionally, he has worked as a business management consultant.

A retired U.S. Navy reserve commander, he is an accomplished jazz accordionist and licensed pilot.

Mrs. Kessel runs a law office, Kessel & Associates, in Los Angeles.

There have been 35 sales in Ocean Ridge in 2008, with median sales price of $762,500.
