Barbra R. Parlin and her husband, Timothy, sold their four-bedroom, 2.5-bath house at 13165 Vedra Lake Circle in West Delray to Edward and Mimi Kahn for $475,000 on Nov. 13.

The Parlins bought the home for $599,500 in Jan. 2007.

The 2,676 square-foot house, located in Valencia Falls, was built in 2002.

Mrs. Parlin is a hiring partner for the New York office of Holland & Knight. Her practice focuses on bankruptcy and creditors' rights and litigation.

Mrs. Parlin was the recipient of the George A. Katz Memorial Award for Academic Excellence in Securities Regulation from New York University School of Law. She also served as staff editor and articles editor of the Environmental Law Journal.

She earned her B.A in Religious Studies from Yale University and her J.D. from the New York University School of Law.

Mr. Parlin is an associate with Carroll, McNulty & Kull, LLC, based in New Jersey. He focuses his practice on commercial litigation and products liability.

Prior to joining the firm, he was an associate in the New Jersey office of Riykin Radler, LLP, and with Porzio, Bromberg & Newman of Morristown in New Jersey.

He earned his B.S. in Advertising from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and his master's degree in Advertising from Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Mr. Parlin received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.

There have been 1,227 home sales in West Delray in 2008, with a median sales price of $95,500.
