Dr. Hanft-Knezevich
John W. Knezevich and his wife, Dr. Kendall Hanft-Knezevich, bought a three-bedroom, four-bath home at 10 Compass Lane in Fort Lauderdale from William and Jane Von Rutenberg for $1.75 million on Sept. 29.
The 4,442-square-foot house, which was built in 1982, is in Bay Colony.
Dr. Hanft-Knezevich is an otolaryngologist in Fort Lauderdale. She is affiliated with the South Florida ENT Associates, Holy Cross Hospital and Imperial Point Medical Center.
She received her B.S. in biology from Tulane University's Newcomb College in 1984 and her M.D. from University of Miami in 1988. She completed a four-year otolaryngology residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City and a general surgery internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach.
Mr. Knezevich, a professional engineer, serves as president of
Knezevich Consulting. He has been working in the structural engineering industry for two decades and specializes in designing hurricane-resistant buildings. He is the past president of LZA Technology, a structural engineering firm.
He received his B.S. in civil engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1984.
