Software provider president spends $1.4M in Riviera Beach

Beatriz M. Ortino sold a three-bedroom, four-bath condo at 5150 North Ocean Dr. in Riviera Beach to Lynn Svandra for $1.4 million on Feb. 13.

Ms. Ortino paid $1.255 million for Unit #1201 in August 2003.

The condo is in the Via Delfino development.

Ms. Ortino, a native of Argentina, has been living in the United States for over 30 years.

She has worked for CBS and Renault in Argentina before she getting married and moving to Mexico with her husband and children. Her husband's company then transferred them to Cleveland, Ohio, where she became active on the board of the Cleveland Hearing and Speech Center, with the Cleveland Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association and with Ursuline College.

Her husband passed away in November 2005.

Ms. Svandra has served as president of Business Computer Design International, Inc., a Hinsdale, Ill.-based provider of computer software.

Via Delfino, which was built in 2003, has 54 units on 27 floors.

Sales in Via Delfino increased from one to six from 2006-2007. The median sales price dropped from $2.5 million to $1.5 million.

There have been 372 sales in Riviera Beach thus far in 2008. The median sales price is at $213,378.
