Electricity supplier VP buys Parkland 5BD

Derik B. Viner and Natalia Elmanovitch bought a five-bedroom, three bath home at 7157 Northwest 68th Drive in Parkland from William J. Snow and Michele E. Snow for $555,000 on August 27.

The Snows paid $325,000 for the property in August 2000. The 3,572-square-foot house was built in 1998.

Mr. Viner serves as vice president of the pricing, structuring and product development department at Liberty Power, a supplier of retail electricity. He was named to the position in July.

The Johns Hopkins University graduate was previously vice president of the geographic business line for Constellation NewEnergy.

Home sales in Parkland dropped 45.5 percent in 2008 versus sales in 2007. The median sales price also dropped from $729,000 to $620,000 so far this year.
