Pourmand is the executive vice president of the International Division of Hughes Communications, Inc., a leader in global technology. He is also executive vice president in the International Division of Hughes Network Systems, which he joined in 1979 and currently serves as a member of the company's Executive Committee.
Prior to that, Pourmand was a director at Rockwell International in Dallas. He currently resides in Potomac, M.D.
Pourmand received a B.S. in electrical engineering from Texas Tech University and an M.S. in electrical engineering from Southern Methodist University. He received a patent in 1977 for his Digital Implementation of Parity Monitor and Alarm.
The eight-story Toscana North, part of the Toscana Towers complex, was built in 2000 and houses 143 units.
Condo sales at the Toscana were down 35 percent in 2007 versus 2006. The median sales price dropped 22.3 percent, from $1.5 million in 2006 to $1.165 million in 2007.
Condo sales in Highland Beach virtually stayed the same from 2006-2007, at 166 and 167 condos sold respectively. The median sales price dropped 10 percent, from $600,000 to $540,000.
