Bodybuilder, fitness entrepreneur selling in West Boca

Blake Kassel and his wife, Lauren, are selling a four-bedroom, five-bath home at 17739 Lake Azure Way in West Boca's Oaks at Boca Raton for $1.249 million.

The Kassels paid $936,506 for the 4,146-square-foot house in Oct. 2005, the same year it was built.

Mr. Kassel is the president of Bodylastics International in Boca Raton. Bodylastics International is the creator of the The Bodylastics Resistance Tubes System, which are home gym exercise bands that Mr. Kassel designed. He is also a professional bodybuilder.

Prior to Bodylastics, Mr. Kassel was a stock trader at Josephthal & Company, a securities brokerage firm in Manhattan.

He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis. He holds personal training certifications from The National Academy of Sports Medicine and the American Council on Exercise.

Mrs. Kassel has worked as a senior art director for Internet advertising at Think New Ideas, an advertising agency in Manhattan. She also graduated from Washington University in St. Louis.

Home sales in West Boca have dropped seven percent in 2008 versus sales in 2007. The median sales price is also down from $255,000 to $191,000 this year.
