Dentist asking $1.995M for 90s-era Boca abode

Dr. Laurence E. Fendrich and his wife, Susan, are selling their five-bedroom, 6.5-bath home at 6345 N.W. 26th Terrace in Boca Raton's Grand Oaks of Arvida Country Club for $1.995 million.

The Fendrichs paid $1.2 million for the property in April 2002.

The 5,142-square-foot house was built in 1991.

Dr. Fendrich practices dentistry at Laurence E. Fendrich, DMD, General Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry in Lighthouse Point, Fla. He specializes in cosmetic smile design and redesign and dental implants.

He obtained his D.M.D. from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Mass., and his B.S. in biology from Long Island University, C.W. Post College in Greenville, N.Y.

Home sales in Boca Raton have dropped 19 percent thus far in 2008. The median sales price has also dropped $50,000, from $420,000 in 2007 to $370,000 so far this year.
