Real estate developer sells for $2.3M in Palm Beach

Eduard de Guardiola and his wife, Kathryne, sold a five-bedroom, three-bath home at 222 Mockingbird Trail in Palm Beach for $2.3 million to Jay Haft on July 29.
Mr. de guardiola paid $1.275 million for the property in Oct. 2002. The 3,375-square-foot house, which was built in 1949, is in the Mockingbird Trail subdivision.
Mr. de Guardiola is the chief executive officer and founder of
Vista Realty Partners, a real estate development company based in Atlanta, Ga.
Prior to forming his own company in 2000, he worked for Focus Group, where he became president and co-owner. Before he joined Focus in 1993, he served as executive vice president for several private companies owned by a former principal of Tempo Management.
He holds B.A. and J.D. degrees from Florida State University.
Home sales in
Palm Beach are down 15 percent in 2008 versus sales in 2007. The median sales, however, remained at $1.2 million during the same period.
