Insurance company founder buys in North Palm Beach

Alan J. Fuirst and Susan A. Fuirst bought a four-bedroom, four bath house at 13575 Rhone Circle in North Palm Beach from Robert Kaplan and Linda Kaplan for $3.25 million on August 1.
The Kaplans paid $2.572 million for the property in March 2005.
The single-story house was built in 1988 and contains 4,073 square feet.
Mr. Fuirst is a founder of
Levitt-Fuirst Associates, LTD., an insurance company based in Mt. Vernon, N.Y. He specializes in estate planning and commercial insurance.
He is
a board member of The Crossing Homeowners Association and a former board member of the Scarsdale Synagogue-Tremont Temple.
He received his B.A. and LL.B. from New York University.
Home sales in
Palm Beach Gardens have fallen 15.7 percent thus far in 2008 compared to 2007, dropping from 1,233 to 1,040. The median sales price has decreased from $320,000 to $300,000 so far this year.
