Attorney, philanthropist sell in Palm Beach Gardens

Mr. Millstein
Ira and Diane Millstein sold a two-bedroom, 2.5 bath at 13621 Rivoli Dr. in Palm Beach Gardens to Stephen M. L. Cohen and Carol F. Cohen for $1.9 million on August 4.
The two-story house was constructed in 1987 and comprises 4,342 square feet.
Mr. Millstein is a senior partner with law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges in New York. He specializes in antitrust law, corporate governance and securities litigation.
He also is senior associate dean for corporate governance and the Eugene F. Williams Jr. Visiting Professor in Competitive Enterprise and Strategy at
Yale University's School of Management. He was named chairman of the board of the
American Red Cross in Greater New York.
Mr. Millstein is a board member of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum at the World Trade Center and also serves as counsel to the Lower Manhattan Development Corp.'s board of directors. He's also co-authored several books on the subject of corporate governance.
He received a B.S. and J.D. from Columbia University in 1947 and 1949, respectively.
Sales in
Palm Beach Gardens have fallen 15.8 percent thus far in 2008 compared to 2007, from 1,233 to a projected 1,038. The median sales price has fallen from $320,000 to $300,000 so far this year.
