OB-GYN spends $900K in Parkland

Dr. Lona R. Sasser and Jeff Haupert bought a home at 12761 NW 75th St. in Parkland for $900,000 from Thomas A. Raleigh and his wife, Kathleen, on Aug. 7.

The Raleighs paid $1.32 million for the property in Aug. 2006. The house was built in 2003.

Dr. Sasser is an obstetrician and gynecologist at Omega Women's Center, LLC, in Coral Springs.

She received her B.A. degree from University of Pennsylvania and her M.D. from Nova Southeastern University. She completed her internship at Palmetto General Hospital and her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Sacred Heart Hospital of University of Florida.

Home sales in Parkland have dropped 38.7 percent thus far in 2008. Median sales price has also dropped $89,000, from $729,000 in 2007 to $640,000 thus far in 2008.
