New York realtor spends $790K in Parkland

Clare M. Governale and her husband, Paul, bought a home at 7453 NW 116th Lane in Parkland from Steven and Wendy Brooks for $790,000 on July 2.

Mr. and Mrs. Brooks bought the property in Dec. 2003. The 4,653-square-foot house, which was built in 2004, is in the Heron Bay East Subdivision.

Mrs. Governale is a real estate professional with Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty in Manhasset, N.Y., where she has lived for more than 20 years.

Home sales in Parkland are down nearly 39 percent in 2008 versus sales in 2007. The median sales price is also down from $729,000 to $640,000 so far this year.
