John M. Milledge and his wife, Susan, bought a three-bedroom, three bath home at 2887 NE 35th Ct. in Fort Lauderdale for $2.71 million from Mae Rabuffo on July 21.

The 5,003-square-foot house was built in 1984.

Mr. Milledge is an attorney with a law office in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He specializes in a number of legal areas, including governmental law, land use, real estate development and civil litigation.

He has also served as an assistant attorney for Broward County. He received his J.D. from the University of Florida and his bachelor's from Emory University.

Mrs. Milledge is a former administrator for Broward County's Planning Council. She has served on the city's planning and zoning board.

Mae Rabuffo is the former wife of Domenic Rabuffo, a Miami resident and Jackson County developer. She is currently the owner of record for most of his properties in Jackson County, N.C., including the Blue Ridge Mountain Estates subdivision in North Carolina.

Home sales in Fort Lauderdale have dropped 35.1 percent thus far in 2008. The median sales price has also declined 16.7 percent, from $342,000 to $285,000 this year.
