N.Y. public schools director spends $500K in Patrician of Palm Beach

Jerilynne Fierstein bought a three-bedroom, three bath condo in the Patrician of Palm Beach at 3200 S. Ocean Blvd. in Palm Beach for $500,000 from Jane R. Berkey and Sanford Golin on June 20.
Berkey and Golin paid $380,000 for Unit #5040 in May 2003. There are 293 units in the development, which was built in 1977.
Fierstein is the director of public information for Yonkers Public Schools in Yonkers, N.Y. She also heads the organization's Gifted and The Arts program, a position that she was hired for in 2002.
She's been affiliated with Yonkers Public Schools since 1971, beginning as a junior high school art teacher. She's also worked at the Enrico Fermi School for the Performing Arts and has held other positions as a communications coordinator and the coordinator of the gifted and arts programs.
She earned her master's in educational administration and supervision from Pace University in New York and her bachelor's in art education from American University in Washington, D.C.
Condo sales in
Palm Beach dropped 15 percent in 2007. The median sale price also fell seven percent, from $800,000 in 2006 to $742,000 last year.
Sales in the
Patrician of Palm Beach dropped 23 percent in 2007. The median sales price, however, rose from $335,000 in 2006 to $337,500 in 2007.
