Jupiter home sells for $585K

Steven Casper and his wife, Sherri, sold their four-bedroom, three bath at 142 Barbados Drive in Jupiter to Casey and Kimberly Morton for $585,000 on June 9.

The Caspers paid $560,000 for the 2,597 square foot home in Aug. 2004. It was built in 1999.

Mr. Casper is the president of dermatopathology services in the Palm Beach Gardens office of AmeriPath, Inc., one of the nation's leading providers of anatomic pathology and molecular diagnostics. He joined the company in Feb. 2002.

Mr. Casper has also served as the AmeriPath regional president for the southeast and vice president of business development. Prior to joining AmeriPath, he was an investment professional with Summit Partners, a private equity group investing in health care and technology companies.

Home sales in Jupiter are down 9.3 percent in 2008. The median sales price has also declined 15.9 percent, from $320,000 in 2007 to $269,000 so far this year.
