Calvin E. Glidewell and his wife, Pamela, bought a home at 3248 NE 28th Ave. in Lighthouse Point from Richard and Sandra Cahill for $840,000 on June 27.
The 2,581 square foot home includes a pool and was built in 1966.
Mr. Glidewell is the CEO of the Imperial Point Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale. He took over the position in Sept. 2007.
He previously served as the CEO of the University Community Hospital–Carrollwood in Tampa, a position he had held since 2006. He also spent five years as the CEO of University Community Hospital in Tampa.
Mr. Glidewell earned his M.B.A. from Tulane University in New Orleans and a bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn.
Home sales in Lighthouse Point have dropped 24.7 percent thus far in 2008. The median sales price, however, has risen 27.2 percent, from $415,000 in 2007 to $528,000 so far this year.
