Financial couple spends $525K in Wellington

David Byck and his wife, Leslie, bought a home at 11245 Mainsail Ct. in Wellington for $525,000 from Angela Lastorino and her husband, Gene, on June 20.

The Lastorinos paid $492,815 for the 4,618 square foot house in April 2004, the same year it was built.

Mr. Byck is a licensed mortgage consultant who works as an officer at Byck Financial Services, Inc., an accounting firm established in 1971 by his father, Stanley T. Byck. He joined the firm in 1996.

He earned his bachelor's in finance from the University of Maryland.

Mrs. Byck is also an officer at Byck Financial Services, Inc. She joined the firm in 2006.

She previously served as an analyst and associate at Goldman Sachs in New York.

Home sales in Wellington have dropped 28.5 percent thus far in 2008. The median sale price has also dropped from $380,000 in 2007 to $324,000 so far this year.
