Accounting firm principal spends $850K in Parkland

Richard A. Reposa and his wife, Maria, bought a five-bedroom, three bath at 6445 NW 72nd Way in Parkland for $850,000 from Rodney A. Lampert on May 28.

Lampert paid $975,000 for the property in June 2005. The 3,609 square foot home was built in 1994.

Reposa is a principal at MSI Barnes and Associates, a Fort Lauderdale accounting firm he joined in 1981. He specializes in international taxation of multinationals, with an emphasis on doing business with Cuban companies.

He earned a bachelor's in accounting from Providence College.

The Reposas have also owned a three-bedroom house at 2375 NE 29th St. in Lighthouse Point.

Home sales in Parkland have dropped 38.7 percent thus far in 2008. The median sale price has also dropped $89,000, from $729,000 in 2007 to $640,000 thus far in 2008.
