Dr. Grumbine
Dr. Francis C. Grumbine and his wife, Caroline, bought a three-bedroom, three bath at 1118 Seaspray Ave. in Delray Beach for $920,000 from the Cartus Financial Corporation on May 15.
The Cartus Financial Corporation paid $1.4 million for the home in March 2007. It was previously owned by Todd Weyhrich and Jodi Weyhrich
The 2,363 square foot house was built in 1953.
Dr. Grumbine is a board certified OB/GYN, specializing in gynecologic oncology. He currently serves as the chairman of the Department of Gynecology and as division head of Gynecologic Oncology at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, where he also serves as an attending physician. He was appointed to the position in June 2006.
He's been on the staff at he Greater Baltimore Medical Center since 1982. He earned his M.D. from the University of Virginia and served an internship and residency in obstetrics/gynecology at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he also completed his fellowship training in gynecologic oncology.
Home sales in
Delray Beach have dropped 27.5 percent thus far in 2008. The median sale price also dropped, from $250,000 in 2007 to $205,000 thus far in 2008.
