Poker player spends $850K in Boca

Dominick Spadavecchia and his wife, Kim, bought a house at 7303 NE 8th Dr. in Boca Raton for $850,000 from Rick Berks on May 8.

The 2,228 square foot house was built in 1963.

Mr. Spadavecchia is a professional poker player who has competed in the World Series of Poker tour. He placed fifth in the 2006 Jack Binion World Series of Poker circuit event, winning $10,705.

He's also served as president of ITW Installation, a floor installation contractor based in Delray Beach.

Home sales in Boca Raton dropped 24.9 percent in 2007. The median sales price also dropped 6.7 percent last year, from $450,000 in 2006 to $420,000 in 2007.
