Nurse buys Wilton Manors condo for $635K

Shirley G. Wharton bought a Island City Lofts condo at 2301 Wilton Dr. in Wilton Manors for $635,000 from Island Citylofts LLC on May 12.

Unit #R401 is one of the 42 residences in the Island City Lofts, which was built in 2007.

Wharton is the chairman of the Retiree Connect Steering Committee at Sentara Healthcare, where she is a former chief nursing officer. The company is based in Norfolk, Va.

Condo sales in Wilton Manors rose six percent in 2007. The median sales price, however, dropped $44,000 last year, from $294,000 to $250,000.
