Gerald Sheiner and Robert Leitman bought a four-bedroom, three bath at 17249 Ryton Lane in West Boca from Lawrence C. Sherman for $595,000 on March 17.
Sherman paid $760,000 for the 2,187 square foot house, which was built in 1988, in Feb. 2006.
Sheiner is the chairman and co-founder of the Sheiner Group, a privately held real estate investment firm that has a head office in Quebec, Canada. The company specializes in the acquisition and development of commercial, residential and retirement lifestyle communities in Canada and the U.S.
Prior to forming the Sheiner Group, he practiced real estate law in Quebec for 15 years until the mid-1970s.
He earned his B.A. in 1957 from Sir George William College and his law degree in 1960 from McGill University in Montreal.
Sherman also owns a home at 6747 Casa Grande Way in West Delray.
Home sales in West Boca dropped 24 percent in 2007 versus sales in 2006. The median sales price also fell from $285,000 to $250,000.
