Retired oncologist gets $3.72M in West Palm Beach

Dr. Stanley H. Winokur sold a 4.5 bath at 7710 S. Flagler Drive in West Palm Beach to Frederic and Sally Rose for $3.72 million on April 24.

Winokur paid $875,000 for the 3,981 square foot house, which was built in 1972, in April 1997.

Dr. Winokur is the medical director of Network for Medical Communication and Research (NMRC), which he co-founded in 1991 with fellow doctor, Joseph C. Allegra.

The organization brings together physicians, medical device makers and pharmaceutical companies. In 2002, NMRC was acquired by American Capital Strategies.

Dr. Winokur has also worked as a medical reporter with Eyewitness News for WAGA Fox 5 in Atlanta.

He received his medical degree from Wayne State University and completed his residency at Harvard University Medical School. He also completed his oncology and hematology fellowship at Harvard Medical School and the National Cancer Institute.

Home sales in West Palm Beach dropped 47 percent in 2007 versus sales in 2006. The median sales price rose one percent, from $252,000 to $253,000.
