John A. Walsh and his wife, Toy, bought a four-bedroom, three bath at 636 Cypress Green Circle in Wellington from Andrew and Gina Mehalko for $572,500 on March 26.
The Mehalkos paid $210,890 for the property in Nov. 1996. The 3,495 square foot house, which is located in the Binks Forest of the Landings, was built the same year.
Mehalko, a chartered financial analyst, is the vice president and chief investment officer of GenSpring Family Offices, a wealth management firm headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens.
He was chief investment officer for DCA Global Investment Management for several years.
He holds a degree in finance from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro.
Home sales in Wellington dropped 30 percent in 2007 versus sales in 2006. The median sales price also fell from $444,000 to $380,000.
