Connecticut lawyer buys West Palm Beach 4BD for $550K

Lawyer Solomon Kerensky and his wife, Nancy, bought a four-bedroom, four bath at 9014 Lakes Blvd. in West Palm Beach from Gerald and Jane Snower for $550,000 on March 28.

The Snowers paid $513,725 for the 3,189 square foot house in Dec. 2000. It's in the Ibis Golf & Country Club.

Kerensky is a partner with the law firm of Kahan, Kerensky & Caposella, LLP in Vernon, Conn., where his practice focuses on land use, development, zoning, corporate and business law. He is also a founding member and director of the Connecticut Bank & Trust Company.

He's been a member of the board of directors of Vernon National Bank, a founding member and general counsel/secretary to the Bank of South Windsor, a director of New England Bancorp and general counsel to the Tolland Bank.

Kerensky earned his B.A. in 1960 from the American International College in Springfield, Mass. He received his law degree in 1963 from the University of Connecticut School of Law in Hartford.

Home sales in West Palm Beach dropped 47 percent in 2007 versus sales in 2006. The median sales price rose less than one percent, from $252,000 in 2006 to $253,000 in 2007.
