Lawyer sells Boca Raton 6BD for $1.7M

Scott A. Elk sold his six-bedroom, seven bath at 799 NE Marine Dr. in Boca Raton for $1.7 million to Gordon at San Marino Inc. on May 29, 2002.

Elk paid $1.1 million for the 7,254 square foot property in Jan. 2000.

Elk is an attorney who works at Elk, Christu and Bakst, a law firm in Boca Raton. He is a partner and the chair of the firm's real estate department.

He also works as a title agent for Chicago Title Insurance Company, First American Title Insurance Company and Attorneys' Title Insurance Fund, Inc.

He earned his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law and his bachelor's in accounting from Ohio State University.

Home sales in Boca Raton dropped more than 24 percent in 2007. The median sale price also dropped $31,000 last year, from $450,000 in 2006 to $419,000 in 2007.
