Biopharma exec spends $1.25M in Delray Beach

Constance C. Bienfait sold a three-bedroom, three bath Gleason Street Townhome at 1040 Ocean Terrace in Delray Beach for $1.25 million to Sue and Erwin Norwood on May 19, 2006.
Bienfait paid $605,000 for the property in July 2001.
Bienfait is the vice president of investor relations and corporate communications for Metabasis Therapeutics, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company based in La Jolla, Calif.
Before joining Metabasis, she served as a vice president of investor relations at Nabi Biopharmaceuticals and executive director of corporate communications for Kos Pharmaceuticals. She also served as a vice president at Morgen-Walke Associates, a New York-based investor and public relations consulting firm.
She earned her master's degree from the London School of Economics and received her bachelor's in economics from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn.
Home sales in
Delray Beach dropped nearly 35 percent in 2007. Median sales prices also dropped $15,000 in 2007, from $265,000 in 2006 to $250,000 last year.
