Trial lawyer sells for $1.1M in West Boynton

Stephen J. and Dawn A. Siebold bought a three-bedroom, three bath at 10558 Spicewood Trail in West Boynton from Donald G. Kempf and his wife, Nancy, for $1.1 million on April 3.

The Kempfs paid $675,000 for the property in May 2001.

The 5,334 square foot home, which was built in 1986, was listed as high as 1.675 million.

Mr. Kempf is a senior advisor with investment bank Gleacher Partners. Prior to this, he worked for Morgan Stanley as an executive vice president and chief legal officer.

He spent 35 years with law firm Kirkland & Ellis, working first as a trial lawyer and then a partner. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America.

Mr. Kempf is an advisor with the U.S. Antitrust Modernization Commission and also served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He received his LL.B. from Harvard Law School, an A.B. from Villanova University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.

Home sales in West Boynton dropped more than 11 percent in 2007 versus sales in 2006. The median sales price also dropped from $320,000 to $300,000.
