Midwestern businessmen swap $2.75M home in Fort Lauderdale

Larry Klairmont and his wife, Slaine, sold their three-bedroom house at 2506 Lucille Dr. in Fort Lauderdale for $2.75 million to Robert E. Hoeweler and his wife, Paula, on April 18.

The 3,947 square foot home was built in 1958.

Mr. Klairmont is the founder and CEO of the Imperial Realty Company, a commercial real estate and general brokerage services company based in Chicago. He founded the company in 1956, and his son Alfred now serves as the company's president.

Mr. Hoeweler is the president of the Hoeweler Group, a company based in Cincinnati, Ohio, involved in the silver and gold jewelry industry. He founded the company in 1990.

Home sales in Fort Lauderdale dropped more than 26 percent in 2007. The median sales price, however, rose $11,000 last year, from $331,000 in 2006 to $342,000 in 2007.
