Stephen J. Cerrone sold an Orchid Beach condo at 701 S. Ocean Way in Deerfield Beach for $975,000 to William and Barbara Cox on April 18.

Unit #306 is one of 44 units in the Orchid Beach condo building, which was built in 2006.

Mr. Cerrone is an executive vice president of human resources for Sara Lee, the Illinois-based food manufacturing giant. He joined the company in 2007 after he spent four years in the same role with JPMorgan Chase.

He also spent 14 years in the human resources department of Burger King and worked in the Maxwell House division of General Foods. He has also served as an adjunct faculty member at the Universities of Houston and Miami.

He earned his Ph.D. and master's in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of Houston. He received his bachelor's in psychology from Providence College in Rhode Island.

Condo sales in Deerfield Beach dropped 32 percent in 2007. The median sales price also dropped $49,000 last year, from $169,000 in 2006 to $120,000 in 2007.

Condo sales in Orchid Beach dropped 89 percent in 2007, but the median sales price rose $25,000, from $720,000 to $745,000.
