Real estate finance expert sells for $500K

Paul Ahmed and his wife, Mia, sold their home at 4111 NW 66th Terrace in Coral Springs for $500,000 to August Perez on April 18.

The 3,180 square foot home was built in 1999.

Mr. Ahmed is a director in the Weston office of Collateral Real Estate Capital LLC, a national commercial real estate finance firm. He has worked for the company since 2005, when his former employer, CareyKramer, merged with Collateral Mortgage Capital.

He has previously worked for the Terranova Corporation and GE Capital Real Estate. He earned his master's in real estate finance and his bachelor's in finance from the University of Florida.

Home sales in Coral Springs dropped more than 22 percent in 2007. The median sales price, however, rose $7,000 last year, from $285,000 in 2006 to $292,000 in 2007.
