Jean-Philippe Jomini, Leigh Hough and Susan Farnsworth bought a condo in the Americas on the Park development at 777 Bayshore Dr. in Fort Lauderdale for $560,000 from Lynda McShane on April 16.
Unit #803 is one of 82 units in the Americas on the Park development, which was built in 2000.
Jomini is the vice-president and co-founder of Mornington Consulting Partners, a financial consulting firm based in Fort Lauderdale. He specializes in finance, strategic planning, corporate organization and technology for the company.
He previously worked for global packaging and specialty chemicals manufacturer W.R. Grace & Co. He has also worked for Ford Motor Switzerland and for IBM Switzerland, as well as Credit Suisse.
He speaks English, French, German and Italian, and holds both an M.B.A. and master's from the University of Miami. He earned his bachelor's in commerce management from the Zurich School of Commerce.
Hough is the president and co-founder of Mornington Consulting Partners. She also formerly worked W.R. Grace & Co., and holds an M.B.A. from the Simmons College Graduate School of Management in Boston. She earned her bachelor's in English and history from Wellesley College in Wellesley, Mass.
Farnsworth is a senior vice president of Mornington Consulting Partners. She spent 16 years as a vice president and chief financial officer for W.R. Grace & Co. from 1981-2007. She earned her M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business (1981) and her bachelor's from Dartmouth ('77).
Condo sales in Fort Lauderdale dropped 31 percent in 2007. The median sales price, however, rose $12,000 last year, from $331,000 in 2006 to $343,000 in 2007.
Condo sales in the Americas on the Park rose 200 percent 2007, but the median sales price dropped $83,000, from $655,000 to $572,000.
