Money manager pays $1.6M in West Del Ray's Addison Reserve

Harvey and Judy Wertheim bought a three-bedroom, three bath at 16298 Mirasol Way in West Del Ray for $1.607 million from Joseph W. and Barbara Malkary on July 20, 2006.

The 3,664 square foot home, located in the Addison Reserve community, was built in 1998.

Mr. Wertheim is a principal with Harvest Partners, Inc., a New York private equity investment firm. Before founding the company in 1981, he managed private equity and venture capital for Research and Science Investors.

Mr. Wertheim, a CPA, has previously worked with Pricewaterhouse. He also has served on the board of governors for the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies.

He earned his B.B.A. in accounting from the City College of New York and his M.B.A. from St. John's University.

In June 2006, the Malkarys paid $433,596 for a three-bedroom, three bath condo in Valencia Palms at 6599 Capistrano Beach Trail in West Del Ray.

Home sales in West Delray dropped 29 percent in 2007 compared to sales in 2006. The median sales price also fell from $275,000 to $175,000.
