Sandra M. Pihos and her husband, William, sold their five-bedroom, 6.5 bath at 2765 NE 26th Ave. in Lighthouse Point for $2 million to Judy Vinson on April 8.
The Pihoses paid $1.795 million for the home in June 2001.
The 2,502 square foot home was listed for $2.65 million. It was built in 2001.
Mrs. Pihos is a republican representative from the 42nd District in the Illinois State House of Representatives. She's represented the district, largely consisting of the western Chicago suburb of Glen Ellyn, since 2003.
She served as an elementary and middle school teacher as well as a high school guidance counselor in the Chicago suburbs before starting her political career. She earned her master's in Education from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Ill. She received her bachelor's from Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio.
Home sales in Lighthouse Point dropped nearly 15 percent in 2007. The median sales price also dropped $40,000 last year, from $415,000 in 2006 to $375,000 in 2007.
