Law professor sells Palm Beach 3BD condo for $1.3M

Mr. Hauptman
Martin R. Hauptman and Elias M. Brady sold a three-bedroom, three bath condo at 2500 S. Ocean Blvd. in Palm Beach to Faye Y. Gmeiner and Marcia Yanofsky for $1.3 million on March 20.
Hauptman and Elias paid $425,000 for the 2,590 square foot Unit #0013 in May 2007.
Hauptman, a law professor, has been on the faculty of the Brooklyn Law School since 1965. He is also a lecturer on federal taxation at the
Practicing Law Institute and a
published author, having written the book
Federal Taxation – Compendium of Federal Income, Estate and Gift Taxation."
Mr. Hauptman attended Brooklyn Law School and earned his LL.M. from the New York University School of Law. He holds a bachelor's degree from Hofstra University.
Gmeiner works as the out-of-district coordinator for instructional support at the
South Portland School Department in Maine. She currently serves as board director of
Hillel Foundation at Tufts University in Medford, Mass.
She was the city head for special education in South Portland until her resignation in 1988.
Gmeiner graduated from Tufts University in 1972.
Condo sales in
Palm Beach dropped 17 percent through December 2007 versus the same period in 2006. The median sales price also fell from $800,000 to $750,000.
