Marketing manager buys in Palm Beach County for $1.1M

Mr. Jahnig
Gordon W. Jahnig and wife, Deborah, bought a 3,217 square foot home at 11600 Piping Plover Road in Unincorporated East Palm Beach County from Brigitte and James Crowe for $1.1 million on July 7, 2006.
The Crowes paid $461,000 for the house, which was built in 1991, in Feb. 2000.
Mr. Jahnig is a marketing manager at
Mutual Service Corporation (MSC), an independent broker/dealer in West Palm Beach. He joined the company as a mutual fund analyst in the 1990s.
He also worked in the New York Stock Exchange and in the financial services division of Great Western Bank in Los Angeles.
Mr. Jahnig is also a musician whose band, The Riff, opened concerts in the 1980s for such acts as The Police, The B-52s, Hall & Oates and Tom Petty. He still gets to make music by creating original music videos for MSC's national conferences.
He attended the University of Florida.
Mrs. Crowe is painter and sculptor whose works have become part of private collections in the U.S. and abroad. She specializes on animal subjects, particularly horses and dogs, and has used materials such as clay, resin, metal and wood.
Home sales in
Unincorporated East Palm Beach County dropped 49 percent in 2007 versus the same period in 2006. The median sales price also dropped from $230,000 to $217,000.
